 J. R. Faulk, principal officer of Dividing Line Survey Services, has been surveying in the Middle Tennessee area since the mid-to-late 1980's. Originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he graduated from West Forsyth High School, Mr. Faulk came to Nashville to attend Belmont College. After graduation, J. R. worked various jobs until one day a friend who worked at Kevin Tucker & Associates, an engineering, architectural and surveying company, said there was a job opening for a rod man on the survey crews. Since that day Mr. Faulk has worked for several different surveying companies in the middle Tennessee area, including Johnny Widener & Associates, Cumberland Survey and C. Michael Moran, RLS. With these various positions J. R. gained a wide and varied experience, performing boundaries large and small, commercial, urban and rural; topographic surveys, tree surveys, construction staking, house staking, etc... After gaining his license, he formed Dividing Line Survey Services (DLSS) in the summer of 2002. Since that summer DLSS has been providing quality survey services for private individuals, developers, civil engineers, architects and municipalities in Dickson, Cheatham, Williamson, Davidson, Hickman, Maury, Sumner, Robertson, Houston and Humphreys counties
